Expansion safety tank
The water heater expansion tank serves as an overflow receptacle by absorbing excess water volume that occurs when water is heated, as well as absorbing fluctuations in the incoming water supply pressure. This tank is therfore designed tol prevent the build up of excess volume which can in turn create extra pressure in the plumbinmg sytstem and reduce the lifespan of your Solar Water Heater.
